Farewell Theresa

Isaiah 57: 1 Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. 2 For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

Oct 21, 2010 9:50 p.m. Theresa died tonight. She was aware and peaceful right up to the end. We got to spend her last few moments together as she passed from this life into the next.
God was merciful and took her home.
She is safe now.
Thank-you Father.

Andy,

We love you and the kids and we continue to pray for you. While we hurt along side you with Theresa's passing we celebrate her life, her Godly example, and the fact that she's now at home with her Lord and Savior. Finally without pain or sickness, only joy in the fullness of His glory. We will miss her…

Andy, Si, Katy, Alex,
Wow, this morning Theresa is in the presence of the very Saviour she loved and served with a humble heart! Theresa was such a blessing to us even in the short time we knew her. We rejoice that she is now no longer suffering...but we can only imagine the sorrow you are experiencing right now. Know that you are in our prayers often. May God continue to pour grace upon grace on you all.

Andy, Si, Katy and Alex,

Words are inadequate to express our sorrow at Theresa's passing. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with each of you in the days to come. There is comfort in knowing she is with our heavenly Father and free from the pain and sickness of the past year.

i have heard through the years of Theresa and what a gentle and kind person she was. Her warmth will be right with you.

He whose own heart was pierced will gently bind up yours.
With sympathetic tears and vivid understanding,Our suffering Christ holds us,nodding, gently rocking, until the storm is past.

And with the morning, whenever it may come, He brings us HEALING PEACE.

The God of Love and Peace will be with you.

Your strength and faith in God during this time is an encouragement to me. I am continuing to pray for you and the family. I got to know her when we were taking the Contagious Christian course a few years ago. It's nice to know that she is now living with her Saviour.

Hi Andy, Josiah, Katy and Alex:
My heart is breaking today for all of you in the loss of a wonderful wife and mother. Jeff and I are in Toronto at Doubletree Hotel doing a book show for the Toronto Catholic Board. I checked my facebook and saw that she had passed away last evening. I know that she is safe in the arms of Jesus and that makes me so happy. I am having a little difficulty focusing after reading the news, but the Lord is helping me carry on. Theresa was such a wonderful person and I know my life was so much better by knowing her. She was my inspiration in how she handled her cancer. I know she would not want us to be sad, but I can't help feeling that way today. We are there for you, Love and prayers. Linda

Our sadness is great and only knowing her for 9 years leads us to know the great pain that you and your family are feeling. God has given us the gift of memories and what a great gift it is to think back at how Theresa has always been. She was always smiling, caring, kind, generous, loving and a great support for her family whom she loved so very much. May her memories carry on forever. She is now in the arms of Jesus. We look forward to the day when we will meet again and hear her glorious voice.
Sincerely Carol, Keith, Emily & Nathan

When Peace like a river attendeth my way
When Sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say
It is well,It is well,With my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

Theresa loved the "old" hymns and at a time like this somehow this song keeps coming to me. She will be so missed!
Andy, Josiah, Katy and Alex.... may it be well with your soul!
