Days

Thanks to everyone for your blog responses and your emails. I read them every day when I come home for dinner. We are told that Theresa's time is now measured in days, but each one affords some precious moments for which we are grateful.

I am missing Theresa very much. When you said you were broken you broke me. I have so enjoyed spending time with the two of you and many laughing moments. We are very blessed to be allowed the knowledge that we have a Sovereign Lord who knows all that we are going through. He knows the number of the hairs on our head and he will give you strength to perserve, this our family is praying for. "I will lift up mine eys unto the hills, from whence cometh my help" WE love you, Theresa, Si, Katie and Alex. Sue

We are to be thankful in all things, I am thankful Theresa is relatively pain free, and lucid and you are able to talk and pray together. May you feel the love of your church family always. Gloria

The love for Theresa and you family is felt everywhere. We pray for your family everday and thank the Lord for the testament of faith that Theresa has been. Our church family also regularly prays for you all.
Although we have not been close, her journey has taught me many lessons as a woman of faith.

Please tell Tee we are praying for all of you. Like Sue said, it broke me also and Mack, our hearts ache for you all and what you are going through. We are so impressed with your willingness to allow God to guide you through all of this, as tough as it is. When I can't sleep, you are on my mind and I talk to our Father about it alot. Give Tee our love. My brother Al and his wife Jeannie are praying for you all in Winnipeg. They call regularly for updates. I love the size of God's family!

Andy,
Today in church we sang the song At the Cross. "You go before me, You shield my way, Your hand upholds me, I know You love me." How wonderful that we have a Heavenly Father who cares for us and loves us always; who has strength when ours fails. May you feel it now, more than ever.

Love and prayers,
Becca and Jerrod

Andy,Theresa and family,
Like countless others we are praying daily for each one of you through this time.I have dreamt of Theresa 3 nights this week and each time her body is healthy and she has been smiling. I can only imagine what her life with our Heavenly Father will be like, but I know her body will be changed one day and she will only know immeasurable joy forever. Gary and I cherish the good memories and friendship that we have had and pray God will bring you all comfort and peace as only He can.
In His love

Andy,
We are praying for you daily and there is not a moment that goes by in the day that we are not thinking of you. Please let Katy know that Olivia is thinking of her so much and misses her. She prays for her every night. She told me the other day that at appreciation circle at school she told her class that she appreciates Katy because she is so brave. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do for you. We love you, Rob, Lynda, Olivia and Naomi

Your circumstances, openly shared thru this blog and the pulpit, have brought new perspective in our home and drawn us closer. There is daily prayer for you and your family; for strength, peace and a knowledge that God will truly sustain all of you.

It is so difficult to put into words the love, appreciation, and heartache I feel for your entire family. Theresa is a gift from God and an inspiration of how a Christian servant lives accepting whatever the Lord asks of her. Andy you have been an inspiration sharing all with us in your blog and in your sermons. Even though you are broken now the Lord will heal you in ways you can never imagine. I am a testament to this. He will use every ounce of pain we have all endured for his Glory! I send my love to you all and continue to put you in prayer constantly.

A song came to mind today - "Hold My Heart" by Tenth Avenue North. You can listen to it on youtube.

Here are some lyrics:

How long must I pray, must I pray to You?
How long must I wait, must I wait for You?
How long 'til I see Your face, see You shining through?

I'm on my knees, begging You to notice me.
I'm on my knees, Father will You turn to me?

One tear in the driving rain,
One voice in a sea of pain
Could the maker of the stars
Hear the sound of my breaking heart?
One life, that's all I am
Right now I can barely stand
If You're everything You say You are
Would You come close and hold my heart

I've been so afraid, afraid to close my eyes
So much can slip away before I say goodbye.
But if there's no other way, I'm done asking why.
I'm on my knees, begging You to turn to me
I'm on my knees, Father will You run to me?

So many questions without answers, Your promises remain
I can't see but I'll take my chances to hear You call my name
To hear You call my name

Much love,

Rachel & Bram Van den Heuvel
